Description

{3} Archaeological evaluation was undertaken on part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument to supply information for assessing the impact of proposed development. No remains remains associated with either the castle or contemporary domestic occupation was found, and medieval ditches that appear to be plot boundaries and a small assemblage of Romano-British pottery were recorded.
