Full Description

{1} A metalled ironstone trackway of 19th century date was previously identified during the archaeological investigation of 1996. The trackway was c.600mm thick and comprised a mixture of large ironstone and limestone blocks, sub-angular to angular in shape measuring up to 350mm x 200mm x 100mm.

{2} Seven ditches, five potential post holes and a single pit survive in the south eastern part of the site at depths of 400mm to 700mm below modern ground level, both outside and within the footprints of the proposed buildings.
