Full Description

{1} For details of tenements see main report.

{4} Archaeological evidence of some significance was recovered from within the plot. A series of features producing material of C12th-C14th date included five definite pits. Some structural evidence was indicated by the gully and stone features, including a possible hearth. Although further features may survive on the frontage evidence shows that they will have been truncated. However, with the evidence of previous work to the east there is clearly potential for the survival of further archaeology across the site area, particularly to the rear of the plot.
