Full Description

{1} Park is annotated "Donatus O'Bryen Esq.". A much smaller park is shown, enclosed by a park pale. At this time an approach road/drive is shown curving northwards from the house and across the area now occupied by the large ornamental lake.

{2} Bridges mentions that Henry Engayne in the 54th year of Henry III obtained license to impark 10 acres of land within the bounds of Rockingham Forest. A C14th extent of Blatherwycke included a wood called 'Le Hallestede', an enclosed park of 12 acres, yearly rents of 100s. In Blatherwycke etc.
