Full Description
{1} A probable recut linear gully running east to west, roughly parallel to Church Lane 50m away, may have been the rear property boundary of a former medieval plot. The southernmost gully (4) seemed to cut (5) and was 1.2m wide and 0.44m deep with 60 degree sloping edges. Seven sherds were recovered, one late Saxon, the rest indicating a probable 1250-1400 date for the backfill. Gully (5) was more than 1m wide and 0.42m deep with more gentle edges and a roundish base. Two very small sherds of late Saxon St. Neots ware were recovered.
