Monument record 3518/0/6 - Possible Romano-British Enclosure

{1} Possible prehistoric enclosure (Morphed Aerial Archaeology Interpretation). Crop/soilmark: Good quality photography. Aerial photo NCCAP: SP8960/007.

{2} Unclassified cropmark, possibly archaeological.

{3} In contrast to the southern enclosure, the northern system of enclosures is more amorphous.

{4} Trench 2, Context 2/13. A ditch 3m wide x 0.7m deep (minimum), previously recorded by geophysics. The ditch contained Roman pottery. It was also sampled. Fig.6.
Trench 5, Context 5/4. Ditch 0.3m deep, sampled. Roman pottery was recovered.
