{2} NCCAP:SP9868/001-20.
{4} The ring ditch may be a former windmill site.
{5} The cropmark features described above (Sources 1-2) were mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project from aerial photographs. The complex of linear ditches, enclosures, ring ditches and two possible oval enclosures are centred at SP 98031 68136. Overlapping ditches and enclosures suggest settlement activity of different phases that are likely to date to the Iron Age and Roman periods.
