Full Description

{1} Plain functional building with 4 north facing lights and a later extension. Large element survives, but extension may have replaced small element of the building.

{2} The largest building was multiphase with what appears to have been a three storey late Victorian factory at its core. Internal photographs show timber beams spanning the width of the factory and no supporting columns suggesting a relatively early date of construction. The brick skin was probably pier and panel construction although no specific note was made of this at the time. A lift provided access to the upper floors. There was evidence of a taking in door to the 2nd floor although the configuration appeared to have been altered. The window pattern of two lights, one above the other, to each side of the doorway is unusual with nothing similar having been noted elsewhere.
