Type and Period (1)
Full Description
{1} The farm, which is not listed, likely dates to the mid-19th century and is first depicted on
the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. The farmhouse with bay windows is depicted along with a large structure to the east, with a linking passage between the two.
The farmhouse is a two-storey building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with gables to the north and south. The roof is of grey slates with the ridge running north to south, and with brick chimneys, flush with the end gables, projecting above the roof line. The farmhouse is of a good quality, well-built, with panelled staircase and panelled bay windows, and with indications of having formerly had a servant’s room and service.
