Monument record 4630 - Bronze Age round barrow and late Iron Age settlement, north of Lower Farm

Cropmarks of a large, bi-vallate, sub-rectangular enclosure and a number of subsidiary enclosures identified on aerial photographs. Archaeological evaluation confirmed the presence of a late Iron Age settlement and a Bronze Age barrow. The Iron Age enclosures contained a number of pits and small gulllies. The northern edge of the settlement had been destroyed by the construction of a gas and cement pipeline.
