Full Description

{1} The Brick-Built Agricultural range, constructed in the Mid 19th Century, consists of four buildings. Building 1 roughly measures at 12.3x6.4m. The building was not physically accessbile, possibly a calving shed.
Building 2 roughly measures 18x7.2m and may have belonged to a pre-1846 farm configuration of the farmstead. It's original function was probably a threshing barn. The brickwork is English Garden Wall Bond and hand-made. Towards the end of the 19th century, as livestock farming gained predominance, many such barns were converted into mixing houses for fodder.
Building 3 roughly measures 14x5.9m and was originally an open-fronted cart shed with a granary above. The ground floor comprised five bays; three bays were sealed up with grey concrete blocks in the 20th century.
Building 4 roughly measures 9x5m and was a 3 bay, single-storey part open-fronted cart shed and implement store. An external feature is a 19th century cast-iron rain hopper and downpipe. The interior is featureless.
