Full Description

{1} Cartsheds. Early C19. Regular coursed limestone with slate roof. 3-bay range of cartsheds with haylofts over. Shallow brick arches with casement windows above. 2-window range of mid C19 stables to left and cartshed to right. Hipped and gabled roof. Single-storey C19 wing projects to far left. Included for group value.

{4} Long single storey stone built building with a corrugated asbestos roof. The building abuts on to a bullock yard. There is a central doorway leading on to the farm yard and stable doors on yard side. Mid-nineteenth century and contemporary with the granary and stone building. The building may have started out as a cow house.

{5} Trial pit 15 exposed two courses of wall below the surface of the topsoil 0.22m deep, built directly onto the natural clay and ironstone.
