Full Description

{1} Settlement remains (SP 676 532). A hollow way some 12m wide and up to 2m deep suggests a former north-south alignment of the main street. A second hollow way formerly ran south east from the village but is now destroyed by a housing estate. The remains emphasise the unusual Medieval settlement pattern in the parish which is divided between four discrete units: Pattishall [SP 65 SE 28], Astcote, Eastcote [SP 65 SE 30] and Dalscote [SP 65 SE 31] of which the first two are mentioned in Domesday.
