Summary

Fieldwalking surveys have found extensive Roman pottery scatters and potential evidence of high-status buildings including roof tiles and part of a column [see individual findspots for more details]. Cropmarks consisting of rectangular enclosures, a sub-rectangular enclosure and an appended double square (possibly a temple) have been identified on aerial photographs.

{2} (SP 862671). Rectangular enclosure, sub-rectangular enclosure and appended double square (temple?). Also a rectangular enclosure located at (SP 862669). All features seen on AP in 1979.
