Monument record 4106 - Possible Romano-British Settlement

Please read our .

Summary

Cropmarks of a complex of interlinked rectilinear enclosures, some containing internal features such as pits, as well as a trackway. A scatter of Roman pottery has been found in the same area as the cropmarks. The cropmarks of a pit alignment to the south of the enclosures is probably an earlier landscape boundary. It can be traced for c170m and the later settlement is orientated on a similar alignment.
