Abstract/Summary

The watching brief monitored groundworks for a concrete raft designed to enable preservation in situ for known Roman remains beneath the new building. The remains of two rubble stone walls and a stone drain were encountered outside the evaluated area and were dated by the pottery to the late medieval and post-medieval periods.
