Abstract/Summary

Northants Archaeology was commissioned to carry out a magnetic gradiometer survey of approx 98ha of land to the north west of Collingtree. The survey area extended from the M1 motorway in the south of the Wootton Brook in the north. The survey detected three settlement sites of probable Iron Age or Romano-British date, with a combined extent of approx 4.5ha. Extensive tracts of medieval ridge and furrow were also detected.
