Monument record 9623/0/1 - Possible Bronze Age Barrow

Cropmarks of a circular enclosure, probably a round barrow

{3} Trench 36 was positioned to examine a series of cropmarks but no archaeological features or deposits were identified.

{4} Cropmarks of a sub-circular enclosure centred at SP72836383. The ring ditch, which is 19 metres in diameter, is likely to be a Bronze Age round barrow.

The site was plotted as part of a level 3, 1:2500 scale, photogrammetric survey of the area, which was undertaken in January 1994 by the RCHME Air Photography Unit (Event UID 926850). This formed part of the larger Industry and Enclosure in the Neolithic Project (Event UID 923509).
