Full Description

{1} A probable Iron Age or Roman ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on historic aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. Located in a field about 225 metres N of Dungee Barn and centred at SP 92525 60043, a fragmented rectangular ditched enclosure measures about 80 x 40 metres, though the N side and NE corner is not visible. The enclosure appears to be internally divided. To the SE is a 3 metres wide linear ditch about 63 metres long that aligns with the SE corner of the enclosure.
