Abstract/Summary

A geophysical and metal detecting survey, followed by trial excavation was carried out over an area of 43 ha located in the south-west district of Northampton and to the west of the Roman Town of Duston. A series of enclosure and trackway boundary ditches, pits and post holes all suggesting domestic occupation were located. These ranged in date from the Iron Age to the Roman period. No Saxon or Medieval features were found.
