Description

{1} Trial excavation undertaken at two proposed development sites, lying on either side of a street. A number of archaeological finds and features were recorded in site 4, but work within site 5 confirmed the indications of a desk-based assessment that cellars and modern landscaping had destroyed almost all of the former street frontage, leaving one island only of pre-19th century deposits.
