ENN112340 - Northampton UAD update, 2025-6

The Urban Archaeological Database update builds on the work of an earlier project undertaken in the 1990s. The early project completed the first element of a typical UAD updating the HER (then known as an SMR). This did not proceed to subsequent synthesis and characterisation. The current project has aimed to update the HER database to modern standards (also including post-1750 monuments) and undertake synthesis and analysis and characterisation of the principal periods. A major part of the of the project has been to develop a modern deposit model for the town.
